Show a message to the user x days before expire date

I want to display a message to the user say 10 days before the product expire date on amember/member page under his product link that offers discounted renewal offer before expire date. For example,
Above product expires in x days. Click here to renew it and save $$.

The link should point to a renewal product's payment link. I did this for aMember v3 using PHP but V4's hoot/API mechanism is very difficult to understand. There is no sufficient documentation for such customization. Any help is appreciated.

Sorry but a bit hypocritical that comment. Support lazy in not supplying a full blown script yet you can also be tarred with same brush as support provide a wiki with help but you don't take time to read it!!!

In support of aMember support there are numerous posts in the forum that contain questions that have already been answered in the wiki help pages.

and where are they? loads of people have said they have gone quiet.

i have played with css and php for years .
even a $22 membership script i brought had better help, better templates, over 20 pages off how to and examples. i asked pre sales questions and no reply, loads of people have and no reply
