Hard to make suggestions when nobody has any idea of your setup, PHP, MYsql, nothing! Have you checked in your server logs to see what they say? At one time I used aMember on a VPS with aMember installed in the 'html/amember' folder with no problems. In your original post you also gave no indication as to why you moved aMember from the base 'html' directory. I presume you had all the individual aMember folders/files in there which is wrong, they should be in their own dedicated directory. Did you try uploading a fresh install of aMember to dedicated directory, run setup with a new database, then run it with dummy enteries to ensure it worked ok, and then change the database details in 'config.php' back to original database?
3 days slow support and people moaning cant pay me today the error is Cannot create file [/var/www/html/Membership/data/new-rewrite/f229a4a322bc1c1c6304fbb3c3e8054e] in Am_Protect_NewRewrite::createFile Click to Expand Exception Am_Exception_InternalError Am_Protect_NewRewrite->createFile [ application/default/plugins/protect/new-rewrite.php : 46 ] Am_Protect_NewRewrite->onAuthAfterLogin call_user_func [ library/Am/Event.php : 784 ] Am_Event->call [ library/Am/Event.php : 807 ] Am_Event->handle [ library/Am/Hook.php : 202 ] Am_Hook->call [ library/Am/Auth/User.php : 128 ] Am_Auth_User->onSuccess [ application/default/controllers/AdminUsersController.php : 1416 ] AdminUsersController->loginAsAction [ library/Am/Controller.php : 139 ] Am_Controller->_runAction [ library/Am/Controller.php : 116 ] Am_Controller->dispatch [ library/Zend/Controller/Dispatcher/Standard.php : 308 ] Zend_Controller_Dispatcher_Standard->dispatch [ library/Zend/Controller/Front.php : 954 ] Zend_Controller_Front->dispatch [ library/Am/App.php : 2011 ] Am_App->run [ index.php : 91 ]
i have done this moved from html/ to html/membership all was ok and then someone at support said my dns was sent up wrong, strange as been ok for a year. then out of the blue when i clicked save helpdesk or tried logging in as a user i got white screen and a html 1.04 error so i backed up db removed all files and followed the move amember host made a new db uploaded files, updated config to new db and imported old db job done all loaded BUT users cant login, i can login from admin, but as soon as i click login, a white screen about html 1.04 hit enter on url and the admin acp loads but in logs above error as per post if i go to save a helpdesk error i think they touched a file i have a dns, pointing to my vps ip and didnt want my ip shown in address bars. Been working fine until the move on sunday and YES i updated my dns from dns....> ip to dns....>ip/Membership today i have waited 5 hours and no reply on support and 3 days since the move on sunday
evening more of aprofile, i can click username from the main window in acp and see their profiles if i go browse and click any key to login as user, WHITE SCREEN when i go to logs, nothing for 8 hours
now 11pm, updated to 5.03, got the db update login into admin, no http error yet did a db core build clicked browse user, clicked a user to login as them An Error has occurred An internal error happened in the script, please contact webmaster for details Please contact webmaster: xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx look in logs Cannot create file [/var/www/html/Membership/data/new-rewrite/fd93b4f8b5e1f6281364b121b512198a] in Am_Protect_NewRewrite::createFile Click to Expand Exception Am_Exception_InternalError Am_Protect_NewRewrite->createFile [ application/default/plugins/protect/new-rewrite.php : 46 ] Am_Protect_NewRewrite->onAuthAfterLogin call_user_func [ library/Am/Event.php : 799 ] Am_Event->call [ library/Am/Event.php : 822 ] Am_Event->handle [ library/Am/Hook.php : 204 ] Am_Hook->call [ library/Am/Auth/User.php : 127 ] Am_Auth_User->onSuccess [ library/Am/Auth/Abstract.php : 75 ] Am_Auth_Abstract->login [ application/default/controllers/AdminUsersController.php : 1496 ] AdminUsersController->loginAsAction [ library/Am/Mvc/Controller.php : 128 ] Am_Mvc_Controller->_runAction [ library/Am/Mvc/Controller.php : 105 ] Am_Mvc_Controller->dispatch [ library/Zend/Controller/Dispatcher/Standard.php : 307 ] Zend_Controller_Dispatcher_Standard->dispatch [ library/Zend/Controller/Front.php : 954 ] Zend_Controller_Front->dispatch [ library/Am/App.php : 1943 ] Am_App->run [ index.php : 92 ]
You need to set the directory so that aMember can write files into /var/www/html/Membership/data/new-rewrite. Depending on your hosting arrangement do 'chown nobody:nobody /var/www/html/Membership/data/new-rewrite' from the command line as root
funny how support send me a message saying its a chmod thing yet it was the same files for 1 year before the move and worked as i said to them, not stupid, when you do a fresh install it tells you when cache, data, rewrite are not writeable so i made it all 777 and sub folders and still the error i did think was a httaccess problem, gut i changed the /amember to Membership in there and that command you gave me says NO group
i see someone tried to do something this morning (maybe support) You are trying to access disabled module [aff]#0 /var/www/html/Membership/library/Zend/Controller/Plugin/Broker.php(309): Am_Mvc_Controller_Plugin->preDispatch(Object(Am_Mvc_Request)) #1 /var/www/html/Membership/library/Zend/Controller/Front.php(941): Zend_Controller_Plugin_Broker->preDispatch(Object(Am_Mvc_Request)) #2 /var/www/html/Membership/library/Am/App.php(1943): Zend_Controller_Front->dispatch() #3 /var/www/html/Membership/index.php(92): Am_App->run() #4 {main}
